About the event
Successfully implementing the Classification of Periodontal and Peri-implant Diseases and Conditions requires more than just knowledge; it demands clinical confidence and effective documentation. In this two-part learning series, participants will improve their ability to assess, analyze, and apply the classification system using a phased approach.
Session One examines the classification system and outlines the assessment protocols required for accurate application.
Session Two brings the system to life through case studies, revealing a step-by-step sequence for creating Dental Hygiene Diagnosis (DHD) statements.
Participants will utilize classification to guide care planning, engage clients in shared decision-making, and enhance collaboration across the dental team. The ultimate goal is to confidently implement and document the Classification System to support personalized, evidence-based care.
Collect and interpret clinical data required to apply the 2017 classification system.
Identify and classify periodontal disease using staging and grading criteria.
